Improving antibiotic use in hospitals is imperative to improving patient outcomes. Antibiotic use has well-known unintended consequences. Antimicrobial Stewardship programs have proven to be effective in mitigating these threats. Healthworks is pleased to announce that your facility has an opportunity to participate in a project designed to implement and expand an effective stewardship program.
Hospitals participating in this project will:
- Assess existing program deficits and identify priorities for improvement;
- Incorporate resources/guidelines to strengthen existing programs; and
- Develop a strategy to lead an antimicrobial stewardship program.
