KRHOP is pleased to announce that your facility has an opportunity to participate in an exciting project designed to improve the utilization of Lean techniques and tools in Kansas hospitals. Reviewing internal processes and creating efficiencies is a recommended strategy to prepare for value based purchasing.
Join us for an informational webinar at noon on Aug.29 where we will explain the project in more detail and answer questions. You can register for this webinar at https://registration.kha-net.org.
The project will follow the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Collaborative model for improvement. Participating hospitals will be asked to select a topic of focus to apply the Lean approach to, in real time, in order to realize improved performance in the selected topic area. The focus of the project will be to provide tools and knowledge in order to eliminate waste by thinking systematically about achieving optimal performance in your facility.
The project will kick off on October 5 in Wichita and conclude in January. Participation includes access to technical experts in Lean and Six Sigma, project management staff to help identify opportunities for improvement, and a platform for you to share/brainstorm with peers. Additionally, you will be provided with tools and techniques that can be applied to any process area for continued improvement after the conclusion of the project.
